The Captis S2 range is the latest generation of Kallipr’s remote monitoring devices, designed for extreme environments. These devices offer advanced battery technology, global connectivity, and edge processing capabilities.
The Captis S2 battery lasts up to 20 years, however for most use cases we see a 5 to 10 year battery life, depending on usage, configuration and transmission frequency. The S2 batteries have patent-pending technology that allows for simple in-field battery replacements in under 30 seconds. Meaning when the battery is nearing the end of its life there is no need to send the device back to the depot or to buy a new device. Instead you simply replace the battery with a new one and are back up and running in minutes.
The Captis S2 range has been built specifically for those hard installs. With military-grade durability, testing completed well beyond the standard IP68 rating, and tamper detection, Captis S2 devices can withstand harsh environments, including submersion up to 14 days for 5m.

Kallipr devices use market-leading technology to connect via low-power wide-area network technologies (CAT-M1 or NB-IoT) networks globally. Transmission and measurement intervals are fully configurable, letting you balance data accuracy, frequency, and latency with battery life. All data is encrypted, with built-in security features that ensure end-to-end integrity - from device to cloud to the way you use it.
It includes best-in-class security with:
  • Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC) and Public Key Cryptography (PKC)
  • Supports both Public and Private APN, with communication security via TLS 1.2
  • Produced in Australia with a unique, tamper-proof identity and hardware attack protection, including on-device tamper detection.
  • Captis S2 uses secure boot, cryptographic key isolation, and firmware signature verification to prevent unauthorised code execution and protect against tampering.
